WhatsApp is well aware that many of its users are facing a real problem with their main chat list becoming messy, especially due to having numerous separate threads with messages from large businesses like banks or airlines. So, according to a new report, WhatsApp is now testing what it believes is the perfect solution to this issue.
The idea is both simple and clever: messages from large businesses will automatically be moved into a new, dedicated folder called «Offers & Updates» after a set number of hours have passed since they were received. WhatsApp is currently experimenting with different durations for this feature, which could be up to 24 hours. This means a message from your bank about an update or a new offer, or flight details from your favorite airline, will appear in your main chat list for a short period, then quietly move into the new folder, leaving your main chat list clear for your personal messages and daily conversations.
This move aims to provide you with a smoother, more organized user experience, allowing you to easily focus on what matters most without being distracted by business messages. When will this feature start rolling out to us? That's what we're eagerly waiting to find out, but one thing is certain: WhatsApp is working hard to make the messaging experience better for everyone.
